Beverly was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She moved to Michigan after receiving a full ride track and field scholarship to Eastern Michigan University. She double-majored, earning her bachelors in Japanese-Business and International Trade and a graduate certificate in Marketing Management.

An Eastern Michigan Chi Alpha alumni, Beverly started her missionary journey by volunteering with the international student department, joining the Japanese Student Association, and inviting friends, as well as her track and field teammates, to their on-campus church. She served as a life group leader for 3 years leading Bible studies, planning fun trips and events, and discipling new believers. During undergraduate years, she began to work part-time as an ESL tutor for immigrant families and children.

After graduation, Beverly worked in marketing/sales positions at several companies, while also working part-time as an ESL tutor. God began to grow her heart for missions, as well as her tutoring business, teaching English to Japanese housewives and their children. After she finished her graduate studies, God opened doors for her to travel to Japan as a missionary with AGWM as a Missionary Associate.

Since 2017, she has been in Japan working with the local Japanese church to boost outreach and offering English classes to the community. She is currently on staff at Chi Alpha Japan, serving college students and youth while teaching English classes online and in-person at Japanese churches as a TESOL certified ESL/ELL teacher.
