Hozue Shiraishi

Hozue was born in Sendai and spent some years in the U.S. as a child and during her youth.

She graduated from International Christian University with a B.A, majoring in psychology. She received Jesus as her personal savior and was baptized at Boston Japanese Christian Church while she was pursuing her Master’s Degree at Tufts University in Child Development. After working as a pre-school teacher and studying at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, she came back to Japan and started serving at Shinagawa Bethel Church (Tokyo) with her pastor husband. They are raising three children. She is an instructor at a junior college and also at Central Bible College in Tokyo.

Favorite food: Avocado, saury with rice, and miso soup

Hobbies: Playing the piano & ukulele, doing pilates work-outs

Favorite scripture: Hebrews 4:12
