About Chi Alpha Japan
Chi Alpha Campus Ministries is a Christian campus ministry on
universities throughout Japan and around the world. The name
Chi Alpha (XA) comes
from the initial Greek letters for Christ's
Ambassadors. The Greek X is pronounced as KAI and the A is pronounced as
ALFA.
Chi Alpha Campus Ministries began in the U.S. as the Assemblies
of God outreach to secular universities. Chi Alpha Japan started in 1997 at the University of Tokyo and is now
on over 25 campuses across Japan.
We are a movement of college-age men and women earnestly
following Jesus. We invite everyone to be a part, regardless of background.
We meet on campus in groups of varying size and style. These gatherings are informal,
infused with music and interaction, and cover topics from relationships to the nature of truth. These meetings are
opportunities for students to meet God, each other, and the needs of the community.
