Welcome to our English website for Chi Alpha Japan. The name Chi Alpha (XA) comes from the initial Greek letters for Christ's Ambassadors.
The Greek X is pronounced as KI and the A is pronounced as ALFA. Chi
Alpha Campus Ministries began in the U.S. as the Assemblies of God
outreach to secular universities. Chi Alpha Japan started in 1997
at the University of Tokyo.
According
to an unofficial survey, over half of Japanese Christians are
baptized between the ages 20-24, the university years. Clearly,
the most open segment of society in Japan to the gospel is the youth,
and God has given the means to reach them with the good news of
Jesus Christ.
Please take time to view this website and contact us for more information.
The Chi Alpha Student Center is located on the Seibu Shinjuku line. Take the local (各停)train from Takadanobaba to the 3rd stop Araiyakushimae.
